this deluxe set feels really special. like you're really getting a lot with it. the Vs/Vitalogy one, I dunno. feel kinda robbed. it's nowhere near as good as the Ten one.

both are gathering large amounts of dust upstairs either way.

I don't own the Vs/Vitalogy box, but I thought the Ten one was a huge disappointment. I've been meaning to sell it for ages.

yeah I understand that.

two things I noticed.

first of all, does anyone else feel ripped that we bought the thing, but then, a promo version of the vinyls turn up in multicoloured dormat with extra songs that aren't in the SDE?

and the vinyl for Vitalogy..(this is a quibble but a big one). the vinyl rerelease you get in the store, the sleeve is really embossed and cool and almost like leather or lizard skin. yet the one in the SDE is sorta just printed on and flat.

that sounds silly but it bugged me.

and the latest one suffered badly for not having *some* sorta video in it, especially after that teaser trailer being so cool.

I'm in a bad mood, don't mind me.

Check your Vitalogy again. Mine is embossed (bumpy). Compare it to your original Vitalogy vinyl if you have to.

And what's this about the Promotional Ten LPs. There's nothing on PJCollectors. You got pics or something?

Oh, I thought there was some colored LP. These don't bother me. Just one more cool collectible.

Hey Spence, if you ever get around to it and decide to split it up - I'd like first dibs on the outer box
(Mine got pretty beaten up during a move :( )

What were the inserts like in the Vitalogy reissue? Is it a one sheet?

I remember the artwork and packaging got alot of attention. But I was always disappointed that the CD had better packaging than the vinyl. Guess it was just more for the ink and the irregular shape.

My copy is embossed too, but it's from 2001.

Might go listen to it now actually. The movie and OST totally revived any waning intrest I still have for this band, feels like a third or fouth wind.

I wouldn't mind getting the Vs/Vitalogy box set but the international postage from the 10C is crippling. :(

they're nice little collectors pieces that are also completely inessential, which is nice for an expensive collectors item.
