Though I will agree that it draws from the same well as a green disease or a big wave, this doesn't even come close to reaching the awesome that is green disease.

Grievance - awesome. played it on repeat forever.
Got Some - seemed like an odd choice, didnt translate well on TV, but I love the song.

This - ugh.

just watched the live version. you guys are right, the live version is better, it's just the word Ole! that is really irritating (not including the ugly new drumhead--the one at PJ20 was so cool).

song just seems like the generic pseudo-punk that appears at least once on the last few albums.

I actually kind of like it musically. Eddie ruins the song with a horrible vocal though. Ole? What the hell.....

The ending is kind of dark, if it's actually saying "there's nothing when your life ends" (going back and forth between Ed and Matt). The lyrics go by so fast that it's hard to know for sure.

i really like the last minute (mike's solo, which is different, and that cool call and response outro). That stuff is really good. The rest of the song is the pop/punk stuff I never like compounded by the Evacuation/Never Thought You'd Habit irritating repetition problem, made worse by the fact that ole is worse than either of those.

I was just thinking that that's definitely a possibility. It's gonna get ALOT of play, I'm sure.

Sounds like he's saying "What's you'd like for, when your life ends".

This song is kind of bizarre.

On the one hand Ed's lyrics and some of the delivery are borderline cringe-worthy. Then there are parts where he locks in and it has a stylized coolness to it. I really like the Matt - Ed call and response at the end. Mike's solo is lame as usual. The band seems mildly enthused to be playing some new material and that's worth a few pesos (ole!).

Definitely liked it live better than the download version. This has to be a B side. As a b-side it has cult favorite ("play ole!") quality to it. As an album cut it's a skipper.

It sounds like they might have spent longer than two hours writing this one but definitely not longer than 2.5 days.

Extra credit for Stone not looking bored and put upon although it loses a few points for Ed wearing that damn shirt again.

C+ ?
