Does this board have threads analogous to ten club's "fanviews?" if I have an opinion or question about aspects of a certain show and want to run it by others, do I just have to start a thread about it? There's no natural place it belongs? The setlist threads under 'Live" seem to be limited to shows as they develop and a few folks editorializing on it. Under 'Tour" the thread for each show seems more logistical-- who's going, has/wants tickets, advice, etc. Neither seem to include general stuff like what was played well or diffierently at the show, crowd experiences,--again, analogous to ten club's "fanviews" but with the somewhat more intellectual, musically opinionated tone of this place?

Head over to the live forum, many shows have their own thread there, especially if the shows took place since the 06 tour. If you can't find a thread for the individual thread in the Live forum make one yourself and start the discussion. If there's an old one you missed it can be merged later.

Have you created a "How to Mod Effectively in the 21st Century" document?

If I did no one would read it.

Yeah, I did go to that forum, but those threads seem to me to be like :
PILATE - 'shit I picked that last night' - 'I heard that in Boston, it was pretty cool' --' yeah but you're stupid' - UNTHOUGHT KNOWN - 'I never like this one early in a set' -'I didn't even know you were here Bob'
Instead of, you know, more focused discussion about the particular performances or vibe or flow or other things about the show itself, that make it unique beyond the setlist.
I'm not trying to be mysterious, nor believe me do I have some great revelation, but I thought it would be clearer what I was asking-- you know, a routine, 'so what'd y'all think of the show?' discussion. It doesn't seem to me that's what the stuff under Live seems to be (at least not the setlist threads...).
I guess what it comes down to is that I had a few impressions and didn't think they were worth starting a thread, but would have liked to toss them out there in some appropriate place with less pressure.

Well that's the thing, most show threads get burried but there are some in there. But seriously, just make the thread for the show you want to talk about. Don't title it to frame it to your specific point, just title it with the date and location of the show and say what you want to say. Then a year from now when someone else wants to talk about that show they can build off the thread you already started.
I always thought the Live forum should have threads for pretty much all the shows, kind of how like the main forum has one for each song.

Yah lets actually listen to the shows threads and work through one by one. That should keep the board active for a few years.
