I can see those. I prefer the backspacer track to everyone you listed though except for Amognst the Waves and maybe speed of sound (I'm not a huge help help fan either).

Why do I bother... Notice the "better" in the title. Misleading much?
Anyways, when I'm doing this, I'm doing it by the instruments used and the tone of the music. Lyrical content and melody doesn't matter here...

Honestly i don't find many connections.
Amongst the Waves has parts that remind me of LBC and GTF. Unthought Known reminds me of Wishlist in the beginning. Supersonic has a Big Wave/Mankind feel.
The rest i feel stand alone pretty well from the PJ back catalog.

None of those songs are better except Given to Fly. Unemployable and Nothingman seem about equal.
