I don't remember what I paid, but I think those prices are lower.
BD was originally $70, and now it's $40.
The Pit folks are freakin out.
Angry or excited?
The Pitters that started the restocking petition are elated. A lot of the ones who paid $70 are furious. There's quite a broad spectrum of members whose reactions are in between these emotions.
The people upset that they paid more do realize they've been able to own the product for nearly a year already, right?
picked up the deluxe. At the very least it will look nice on the ol' shelf
laughing at the folks who are complaining about the new price on this box. If i'm correct they purchased the original limited edition without even knowing what it actually was.
Also, just like anything PJ i have to think the only reason the prices on Ebay were so high for this is because there were about 100 pj nuts who would pay the price for it. They drive everythiing up because they are incapable of waiting and generally nuts. Of course they were going to release this stuff again. It costs them pennies to reporduce them

I don't know that "ebay prices" are so inflated on the original deluxe box. There is one there for $100, one for $200, and three for more than $400, but no one has bid on any of those.
The only one with any bids stands at $42, which is less than the original purchase price. It's listed as "Blu-Ray DVD" so who knows which it really is.

some folks on the pit have paid in the range of $300-600 for the limited edition box. I assume the prices have dropped ove rthe past few days because of this new one.

its their fault to be stupid enough to pay that.
100% their fault.
I did glance a post where some guy on the pit was complaining because he or one of his family paid $600 for the original deluxe Blu Ray on eBay. Apparently this was 10C fault.

To be fair, don't laugh qt those freaking out for having paid for the initial release.
They aren't complaining that it's not as exclusive anymore.
They are complaining cos this new edition has a 40 page booklet their more expensive version did not have and most of them are into collectibles and it's a pretty legitimate complaint even though the overriding feeling is everyone's thankful this is available again.
But $40 less for 40 pages more, you can see why they're pissed. They'll buy two of this edition, just like they did last time. As usual. One to watch. One to keep mint and pristine.
Not tenclubs fault at the end of the day. They're just being business savvy.

Sorry it's a 20 page booklet, not 40.
• The more streamlined package contains a 20-page booklet inside the Pizzoli cover
Either way it's a different edition and for completists collectors, a breed we may never understand but are beyond numerous, it obviously becomes vital. I think it's cool they put it back out there. Everyone should be able to have it. Fair play.

Dime, fair enough what you're saying but i'm pretty sure the booklet will just be a take on the original booklets despite how cool they make it sound. We shall see
As for true collecters, if the selling price for the original limited edition was $70 and it is officially out of print can't picture anybody expecting to pay less for it barring damage of course. Seemed like the major complaint was that this one will actually fit in a blu ray shelf.
I'd expect the original to get somewhere around $70 from a true collector and the new one $40. If anything this will just help to keep the flipping down and allow all of us to own the thing.

Yeah, but it sucks that they only keep flipping down on the stuff I actually own, and do nothing to counteract it on the stuff I don't own but want.
