No Code Vitalogy Riot Act Binaural Vs Yield Pearl Jam Ten Backspacer
No Code was the clear winner here, followed closely by Vitalogy. I can't reasonably rank a series including Cropduster and Ghost, two all-time favourites, any lower but I Am Mine keeps it from advancing to number two.
I love NAIS and like Thin Air a great deal but I've never been crazy about Light Years. I like Glorified G, Dissident and W.M.A. an awful lot but there's no song in that trio that I really adore - like Yield's run of Given to Fly>Wishlist>Pilate, it's probably the weakest sequence of songs on the whole album.
I'm very fond of both Parachutes and Jeremy but pretty indifferent to the songs surrounding them; you could reverse those positions on another day and I'd probably be just as happy. Backspacer, well - not even Johnny Guitar can make up for Just Breathe and Amongst the Waves.
Practically a toss up. But Whipping is the song I like least in this group
3.Yield: Given To Fly, Wishlist, Pilate 4. Backspacer: Johnny Guitar, Just Breathe, Amongst the Waves 5. S/T: Severed Hand, Marker, Parachutes
Given to Fly and Wishlist are 5 star songs, but I don't care much for pilate. 4 and 5 on backspacer are great songs but among the waves is a little flat. I like all those S/T songs but Parachutes is the only one up there with my favorites.
6. Riot Act: Cropduster, Ghost, I Am Mine 7. No Code: In My Tree, Smile, Off He Goes Cropduster and Ghost are decent. I am Mine is great. In My Tree and Smile are probably better than any two of those songs but I like I Am Mine more than either of them, and off he goes is the song I like the least here, and less than any 4-6 song except Thin Air
8. Vs: Glorified G, Dissident, WMA 9. Binaural: Light Years, NAIS, Thin Air
I like all those Vs. songs but they are also probably my bottom 3 on that record. NAIS is a unique moment in their catalog but Light Years is overrated and I'll always resent it for not being puzzles and games. Thin Air is right down there at the bottom of my PJ studio tracks.
Rebar, if you change your name one more time we can make a rank your names thread!

Ten: Why Go, Black, Jeremy
Yield: Given To Fly, Wishlist, Pilate Vitalogy: Tremor Christ, Nothingman, Whipping
Riot Act: Cropduster, Ghost, I Am Mine No Code: In My Tree, Smile, Off He Goes
Binaural: Light Years, NAIS, Thin Air S/T: Severed Hand, Marker, Parachutes
Vs: Glorified G, Dissident, WMA Backspacer: Johnny Guitar, Just Breathe, Amongst the Waves
Ten is the only set of 3 that I unabashedly love.
Wishlist is a great studio track but always falls in my estimation because I dislike it live. Pilate is a poor song with 20 brilliant seconds. I don't really like Whipping. But the rest of those from those albums are brilliant.
I like all three of the Riot Act tunes, but i can't say I love any of them. Meanwhile, I'm a big fan of In My Tree and Smile but I pretty much despise Off he Goes, so that hurts No Code a lot.
The Binaural songs ... are all OK, NAIS is the standout of the bunch. I used to adore Light years but now just tend to feel like it's clunky instead of deliberately clunky. The S/T tracks are also all OK. Nothing wrong with any of them but nothing there I like enough to push them up.
Vs. and Backpacer are the two clear bottoms for me. The worst stretch on their respective records by far. (And those are both records I would put overall in my top half.)
