SONG OF THE MOMENT!
SOTM gives us a chance to come together and talk about the music in a very focused manner. Many of these songs touch us in different ways and this is a great medium for enjoying the reason we are all here, the music.

quite possibly my favorite PJ song.
the energy is amazing and Ed's voice in this song get me so pumped up. great before a lacrosse game.
a song i could never get sick of, even if i played it back to back for 24 hours.

Always fun live, always good ad-lib-lyrics from Ed.
I remember running around drunk three years ago, screaming "It's evolution baby" at everyone I saw at the local club. Then we had an after-party at the place I lived, and I cranked DTE up from 3AM to 8 AM or something. Many people gave me funny looks the next day

Being the patriotic Australian that I am, the lyrical aspect of this song has limited meaning towards me. But I love the song none the less. Probably their best live song that they play in my opinion.

this song is pure pearl jam. classic stone riff, hysterically sarcastic, yet inspiring lyrics by eddie, and a great live rocker.
the video is awesome too. does anyone remember seeing it on trl? not something i thought id ever see, but i guess the more people that get to hear such a great song the better.

I REALLY dug this song when it was first released on Yield, but it's lost something for me over time. I'm not sure what it is, but I think the main thing is that I've seen them play it live at every show I've been to since 98, and heard it on countless bootlegs, and I've heard very few recoridngs that measure up to the studio version IMO. There are very few PJ songs that I prefer the studio version to live, but this is number one on my list of them.

DTE is one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs and the video is great. When I am having trouble waking up in the morning I play this song and it gives me instant energy.
It is also one of my favorite live songs and I love it when Eddie changes up the lyrics. One of the best parts of the song is the hallelujah bit. I love how it starts out high and then Eddie joins in with his low voice.
Do the Evolution is a great song the whole way through.
