Yeah, Eddie and Mike are both huge Kiss fans. And then when they said get Vedder on board, you could hear the hesitation in Mike. That was funny. Good interview. McCready doesn't fit the norm for guests on that show, but it was cool they had him on considering he's a huge Schenker fan.

What did you see that I didn't? Eddie Trunk's always seemed like a good guy and he was never rude to Mike. They plugged UFO, the Crohn's benefit stuff on PJ's website, the PJ20 DVD, and said Pearl Jam was a first ballot induction for the RNRHOF. Where's the part where Eddie was a dick?

Maybe dick is a little harsh but the poritons of the interview where he chose to engage Mike were full of backhanded compliments.

I didn't get that at all. Maybe Trunk was more complimentary to Schenker because he's an amazing guitarist, and Mike was there almost as much for him being a huge UFO fan, but because Trunk didn't fawn over Mike like he did with Schenker doesn't mean that he dismissed Mike as a musician. I didn't get that at all from watching.

they were certainly "polite" to Mike, but i did get the sense it was an uneasy match. yes, the show was ostensibly about schenker, but they didn't really talk about (much less compliment) mike's playing style or anything having to do with pearl jam. it's like, yeah, yeah, yeah the guy from pearl jam is here blah blah blah let's talk about ufo already.

again, i know it's the show's m.o., but he nearly had a stroke at the mere mention of kiss. pearl jam is just one of those grunge bands that ruined hair metal.

That Metal Show is kinda lame. Don't think I'll be tuning back in to that one.

They just all kinda seem douchey to me. Like the show was more about them than the guest. Also, they are shitty interviewers. It felt more like one of those sports shows or news debate shows, where it's more yelling and stupid points than anything worthwhile.
