I used to run into that guy EVERYWHERE when living in NYC. Twice at Madison Square Garden.... at a Sigur Ros show at the theater, and once at the NIT basketball tournament.
Ran into him in at least 3 different bars, and again at a Modest Mouse show. Dude was stalking me.

Good point.

They just all kinda seem douchey to me. Like the show was more about them than the guest. Also, they are shitty interviewers. It felt more like one of those sports shows or news debate shows, where it's more yelling and stupid points than anything worthwhile.

the couple of times they've devoted an entire hour to a guest has been pretty good (the Brian Johnson episode was quite frankly awesome)

but they have the same people on season after season, I think Slash, ALice Cooper, Dokken and Stephen Pearcy are already booked for the next season

Ive watched the show a handful of times, they definetly make jabs at any of the "grunge" bands and Mike was spot on when he mentions the whole grunge vs metal debate.
its pretty obvious though the host/show in general dislikes the grunge bands, the guy can name guest guitarist from albums in the 70s, and what obscure cover was done on some guys solo cd produced by whomever... but he doesnt know, Mike does a UFO tribute, UFO being his all time fav band, and doesnt know PJ loves Kiss? Im betting he at some point in time heard about Mike and UFO/Flight to Mars, if hes that bif of a UFO fan and rock trivia douchebag, but blew it off as hes just one of those guys from a grunge band fuck him touching the mighty Schenker... and probably said hell never be a guest on the show... until a former guest Duff called him up and said dude McCready rocks wtf's your problem.

There was an episode awhile ago during their throw down, forget the topic, but Sebastian Bach mentioned Neil Young and I thought they were going to kick him off the show for mentioning someone not metal... to which Bach said "Hey Hey My My is one of the heavist riffs ever stfu you fan boy hosts" more or less.

and I remember another episode where someone mentioned Nevermind/Nirvana and whomever the band was laughed at it, where are they now? were still selling out stadiums.

watch the Stump the Trunk part of the show... the dude knows just about everything about just about every "metal band" and claims to be an expert on UFO and Kiss... including their solo works... which means he obviously keeps up on Kiss news... like, Ace showing up at other bands concerts and jamming out on RITFW and Black Diamond. its possible he didnt know about the PJ/Ace jams, but id bet he knew about Mike and Flight to Mars long before "just a couple months ago Duff calls me up"
