Of course stip would find Turning Mist pleasant.
You know...upon further reflection stip might be right. If the song was written by anyone else i would think "oh okay. pleasant. Never listening to that again"
Unfortunately it was written by a guy who wrote such pieces as:yellow ledbetter, Present Tense, Faithful, Brain of J, Given to Fly etc..
So with that - its laughable at worst bisexual at best
Even I don't like Turning Mist. And that comes from a Chris Cornell's Scream and Backspacer fan.

i didn't like it. I didn't hate it. It was forgettable. It wasn't an offensive song and has a bland kinda charm.

I like the solo that starts at 1:48.

I'd like to hear more bluesy McCready solos - I loved when he sat in with the Roots on Jimmy Fallon. No more 'patterns'. And he needs to listen to some Stevie Ray Vaughan and Freddie King again to sort his tone problems out - or maybe that is a Brendan issue - his guitar has sounded like crap on the last two records.

Huh, I actually like "Fall Down". It would be nice to get some of that funky guitar onto a PJ album. And bring in a female vocalist to duel with Eddie. That would be different.

This happened on Ed's last solo LP, though. Edit: Provided you mean 'duet' and not 'duel'. If it's duel, not so much.
