Oh, weird.

I'm interested. I liked that "When the Fire Comes" song that was given away at PJ20.

Yup, Spence, and the version of Other Side with Joseph Arthur singing was as good, maybe better, than the PJ version. Going by those two tunes, this record might be a little less left-of-centre than the last one.

I hope they sell CDs (or FLAC) through the website, odd that there's been no news about it yet though you can buy it on iTunes already.

I know Jeff doesn't sell a ton of solo albums, but have they just given up trying? Not even a tweet?

I'm holding out for a real disc.

I'm holding out for a real CD, too. I like something, with liner notes and artwork, to hold in my hand, Goddamnit.
B!, what you wrote about "have they given up trying?" would never have happened with an EV release, that's for sure.

I thought that Other Side demo had Jeff on vocals?

I never really heard Tone. The samples on this don't really excite me. I just can't take him seriously as a vocalist.

Totally interested as I think Jeffs Tone is the best grunge-related material since Riot Act. Would love a vinyl but it seems unlikely :/

Looking forward to this one! I enjoyed Tone for what it was, it had some real good songs.

The samples sound already promising. 20 years in PJ and Jeff is still very much inspired to make music, Tres Mts was rockin' and his solo record are a nice addition to the PJ universe.

Yep. Musically, the samples sound fine. It's the voice, I find it awful. Wish I didn't.

I wish Pearl Jam would just randomly put up their album on Amazon with previews with a release date of tomorrow. Weird. Good on Jeff though.

I'll listen to the samples later but I didn't like Tone at all. I'd prefer it if he either got other vocalists or just made instrumentals.

I'm pretty sure it's Joseph. Someone gave me an original CD (and vault #1, too), let me check for ye.

The CD/Vinyl are up at 10C: http://pearljam.com/news/0/1/21384/while_my_heart_beats

The CD rings up at $12+$9.20S&H. There's no way that's right. I sent them an e-mail. That almost doubles the cost of the CD.

Ten Club says it's a cookie issue, and eventually my shipping was back to $7.70. I don't know. $12 for a Jeff CD? Sure. $20? Yea..uh ... I ... um ... I'm thinkin'.
