I stand corrected, Ed actually performed this again solo in 2011.

The last dumbed-down hints:
* this was a Song of The Month on the fivehorizons website
* Ed's retort itself wasn't witty or anything. It was memorable because the interruption happened right at a very delicate point of the song. Ed: "Yeah, you too. It's no big deal. I mean, I don't have to be here. I'm just gonna finish the song and watch The Fastbacks."
