True. Those t-shirts are awful for the most part.

We are really disappointed that they don't rehearse Small Town and Alive before every tour? That is the definition of so unprofessional that they aren't worth hearing? When have they screwed those songs up? Again, you are going to have something like the "Animal" flub every so often, that doesn't signal that they didn't rehearse enough. Ed flubbed Even Flow EVERY DAMN SHOW in 2000...I guess they didn't rehearse back then either.

Why are we debating this when the general consensus of the folks who have actually HEARD the Manchester shows agree that there really are not a ton of mistakes at these shows. These are totally on par with 2000-2006 initial shows.

Not rehearsing those songs means those songs have stagnated. The varied setlist is great but most songs are identical tour to tour to tour.

Have to disagree. There's a lot of very subtle differences in staples like Corduroy if you listen. And it's all three guitars in that song changing the attack and shortening/lengthening the time chords ring out etc. tempo too. There's a video on here somewhere of Corduroy at Amsterdam and it's being intro'd much slower but more purposefully than in a long time. there'll be a staple or two each tour that gets this treatment if you listen for it. Whether it's intentional or just organic I can't say but it sounds intentional..

Speaking of 2012 Bootlegs..............I accidentally bought the HD ALAC version of Manchester 06-21 (Night 2) but wanted HD FLAC.
Anyone here want to trade their HD FLAC for a copy of my HD ALAC?

Thanks,
Datfly

You can convert ALAC to FLAC.

Yeah, it's just another form of lossless file. You won't lose any data in the conversion.

Remember when the band kept fucking up Small Town on a nightly basis during the first leg of the 2006 tour? Ed even mentions it during one of the shows, and jokes that they were starting to get nervous when playing it haha.

Listening to Deep on the Manchester bootleg, its clear they DID rehearse that one. It sounded very tight. Overall, aside from a couple of flubs both shows were incredibly tight and I believe the band sounded better than they have since 2006 when I think they sounded best.

The problem isn't that there aren't any more tight Pearl Jam performances any more. There are. And they obviously rehearse some things at some times. The problem is it's a complete crap shoot. 2008 mostly sucked. 2009 really sucked. 2010 was pretty good, 2011 canada was sporadically good, 2011 south america sucked. So far 2012 Europe seems pretty good. It's a complete crap shoot and you have a 50/50 chance of getting a show worth your money when you go see them these days.

That's not a good thing. In what other job can you be really sloppy half the time and expect people to keep throwing money at you?

Just listened to a few cuts from Isle of Wright show. "Rain" is a full version, and really nice. And, uh, "Supersonic" really sounds great here...I don't know if Ed hit the lyrics because honestly I don't know the lyrics, but the guitar work here is MUCH meaner than I ever remember. Another thing that I never thought I'd say: could Stone SHUT UP during the first half of the "Porch" solo? Mike is doing some really cool noise jam thing that would be great if there wasn't this annoying couple-note ruckus coming from the right speaker.

I didn't listen to anything else because there isn't much on the setlist that screamed "LISTEN TO ME!" at the moment, but everything I did hear was pretty great.

Up to Jeremy so far, this Isle of Wight show is all kinds of alright.

(Matt's harmony vocal in Rain should've been louder, though.)
