Unless this was recently brewed, this may taste even more like sewer water than the ones consumed a week after brewing. This stuff doesn't hold up well with time.
They've done at least one subsequent batch.
Oh, and I think "sewer water" is a bit extreme.
Well, it's no Natty Light.
I think when Sam Calagione sat down with whoever, and they said "we like Coronas and pinots," he should have stepped away from the project. It was an impossible mission to make a palatable beer. I guess I respect him for trying.

Did anyone ever try this? It is on ebay for $250 for a case of 12. I always wanted to try it (and have a full one for to put on a shelf) but our local Friar Tuck never had it, gave up looking for it about 6 mo. ago. Anyway, was it any good?

I don't think anyone on this forum cared for it, and it scores quite poorly on beeradvocate.

I have an unopened bottle. My wife wanted to open it up recently bc we were out of other beer. I wouldn't let her... not bc I wanted to keep it sealed, but bc i heard it was so bad
Had this beer been made in the 90s, it would had been so much better.

I had a weird experience...The first bottle I opened, I enjoyed. It had a light texture, slightly creamy finish, with decent carbonation. A little bitter fruit mixed in there too.
Tried a second bottle and it tasted like flat malt liquor; it was nasty.
