The best, and worst, part of a Homicide reference is that you know only a couple people are going to get it.

I stopped downloading (and watching) tv shows since you told me off on how wrong it is to do so.

due to its obscurity, there really isn't much point in posting further about it here.

For every candle light forgotten in a busy Baltimore Homicide Unit, there will always a Det. Munch to appreciate it's precious existence.

It was on network television for 7 seasons. Andre Braugher received an emmy for his work on the show. Melissa Leo has gone on to win an oscar. One of its characters moved on to another long running series (munch on SVU). The creative team is behind other critically acclaimed shows like The Wire, Oz, Generation Kill and Treme. The fact it is viewed as obscure is really the odd thing.

True, but that could be the tag on the commercial. Just a single shot of a bloated, drooling, 10C manager passed out in a darkened room, in front of a TV on the fritz, avoiding his Christmas single responsibilities.

Simple Torture watches this? I might pick his brain via PM sometime and see if he's picking up the same Bolano vibes I am from these early seasons.

I tried watching a few shows...the last one I saw was tough to watch. Forgot the details but is was very hot in the station and a sax was playing in the background the entire episode. I couldn't get past it. If Netflix would stream it, I'd try watching it again though.
