I really don't care what stone, jeff, mike, matt or boom do on there own. I like ed's projects and pearl jam. To me the side projects are like paying for a handjob at a massage parlor instead of just getting a hooker. Cheap and unfulfilled.

Such a dramatic topic title. :twisted:

If you are a full time musician coming up with song ideas, even interesting bits that aren't complete that could lead to a whole song well it just shouldn't be that hard. And when you get together with new people you get new perspectives and new ideas all around. I doubt any of the guys side projects hampers the writing they do for Pearl Jam or the ideas they come up with and complete when they get together.
