I was watching the Charlize Theron/Patton Oswalt movie Young Adult this morning. I saw the credits list this Even Flow cover. Apparently Mateo Messina worked on the soundtrack to Juno, and since Diablo Cody wrote Young Adult (its a terrible film) I suppose she asked him to cover some stuff for this movie. I didn't hear the song watching the film, so I looked it up and its actually an instrumental jazz cover of sorts. It almost sounds like Tuatara in a way. Kinda neat.

"Young Adult" is not a terrible film at all. It's pretty good.

But that version of "Evenflow" is only a notch above that "Pearl Jam 4 Babiez" version.

I think I would rather listen to one of those Courtney Love "Jeremy" covers than this Even Flow cover. And I'd rather be in a candle lit room with Richard Gere and a hampster than to ever listen to her sing Jeremy again.
