I'm pretty sure that no one who sees a show is complaining.
There was a pretty harsh backlash against Cornell appearing at PJ20 and doing repeats from the previous night.
Gary was pissed.
That´s pretty much my point...i ve been listening for years the desire of a temple of the dog reunion/ tour/ record..."please, make another one, please play those songs, pleaaase..." Then when it happens..."fuck they are playing reach down for te 2cnd time fuckersss you pussies..." Anyone remember 98 or 2000 when they didnt played why go or leash?? and most of the fans were raging about that, "fuckers play breathe , play HTI, play leash!!!"... It seems, to me, we are never satisfied with what we are getting from the band.
I remember people saying "play leash!" and I was all "why? that song sucks!"

But we haven't got anything to complain about really. Almost every show available for next to nothing. Lots of posters. Lots of shirts, and backpacks, and stickers and zippos and hats and lumber jackets. Oh I see what they've done.

actually, counting eddie's solo stuff (and I do) the past 5 years gave 3 albums, the documentary, a bunch of live albums (I don't listen to them, but they're there), a few re releases that, while not what they could have been, I still enjoyed. That's not bad
This is the problem - there only is nostalgia left. One average, at best, record in the last six years and two average records in the last ten. All the stuff above apart from Into the Wild and Lost Dogs (which is material from more than ten years ago) is flotsam.

Last ten years we had Riot Act, Lost Dogs, Avocado, Into The Wild, Backspacer, Ten Redux, Vs/Vitalogy set, Pj20 and Ukulele songs... I think its pretty good so far guys, nothing to complain about, really.

Plenty to complain about with those.
Please, start, I want to read all your complains.
Well Avocado has mostly subpar songs and sounds like shit. Backspacer is just full bland songs. The Ten Redux had a version of MTV Unplugged where Ed's ex wife's name was edited out of the performance. The VS/Vitalogy set had an inexplicably edited (not even full song omissions, but a solo is missing from Fuckin' Up. They straight cut it out) set and was produced (poorly) by BOB.

Kinda agree. Severed, Marker, WWS, Unemployable and Come Back are pretty good songs, though. Terrible production, but good songs. Especially live.

Backspacer is ok. Still love Got Some and Force Of Nature.

Now you're just bitchin' 2.
Well, those live recordings were what I was anticipating the most in those reissue packages.

Its like "Hey, I can give you this red ball and this purple one for free!" but you just want the blue one, right? And you're not satisfied with the purple one, even though is virtually the same thing... But purple.

Only complaint i have is that they are taking too long in releasing new music. It seems they have a lot of songs and music unreleased from both avocado and backspacer sessions and the fact that they don´t play it live is something i dont like. Avocado and Backspacer were really good records, they have their flaws ( every pj record has it) but they went from something half baked as riot act to release something really finished like those two, they were really focused in studio and had an idea in the two sessions ( with avocado make a more commercial record based on what made pj big, with backspacer to make a more pop record with their new wave influences). Their side projects and solo records were pretty good ( dont care much for ukelele songs but its nice to have it) and pj20 was awesome...the whole project was great.

I find interesting that Leash is a favorite of many people.
Yup. I remember buying Vs. the day it came out, and thinking Leash was my least favorite. I knew then it wouldn't age well, particularly the lyrics. I guess it was fine in 1993, but that song should have been permanently shelved by 1996. The only times I listen to it now is if I'm revisiting Vs. or if it's on a particular boot. Other than that, I never listen to it.
