You know, like in the PJ20, where young Eddie is at the bonfire.

I don't think so. I've never heard one. Would be interesting to listen to, though I don't think it'd work as well as the electric version. A lot of the power of the song comes from that whooshing drone over the bright electric arpeggios.

Although they could pull that off with a bowed contrabass and an ebow on the acoustic guitar. That would be interesting.

To the contrary, I think an acoustic raw version of Release would amplified the emotions in the lyrics. But of course, Release is a product of it´s time, I don´t think modern Eddie could pull that off the way that it needs.

I think the superfluous jaw movements would augment a raw acoustic version of this classic song.

An subtley played acoustic version with a pared down vocal could really be brilliant.

The quieter part from 2:25 to 3:10 is nice.

Are all those "string quartet" tribute albums made by the same string quartet?

I hate those guys. They pump out these hastily put together "tribute albums" with the laziest string arrangements possible. It's like they figure the entire thing out in a day and say "fuck it, that's good enough to release, rock fans will eat it up". They have like 5 Coldplay cover albums!

I disagree, I think they have managed to produce almost 300 quality albums.
