I don't think so. I've never heard one. Would be interesting to listen to, though I don't think it'd work as well as the electric version. A lot of the power of the song comes from that whooshing drone over the bright electric arpeggios.
Although they could pull that off with a bowed contrabass and an ebow on the acoustic guitar. That would be interesting.

To the contrary, I think an acoustic raw version of Release would amplified the emotions in the lyrics. But of course, Release is a product of it´s time, I don´t think modern Eddie could pull that off the way that it needs.

I hate those guys. They pump out these hastily put together "tribute albums" with the laziest string arrangements possible. It's like they figure the entire thing out in a day and say "fuck it, that's good enough to release, rock fans will eat it up". They have like 5 Coldplay cover albums!

I disagree, I think they have managed to produce almost 300 quality albums.
