"Jack irons pj live is overrated*"
Couldn't disagree more. I fucking love Jack's groovy Even Flow from those early '95 shows.

I'd give anything to go back in time and see an Australia/NZ 1998 show.

Sorry to disagree but I saw them in Sydney 98 and it was not exactly exciting. Put me off seeing them for years.

I'd give anything for a 93 or 94 show.

As for this post, I'm happy with the current sets but please rotate some of the 10-11 staples (EvenF, Alive, GotS, UK, JB, SmallTown, Fixer, YLedB, Betterman etc). Maybe 5 of these each night but get some more Binaural, RA and PJ in there. And some more Johnny Guitar, Satans Bed and Tremor Christ. These should staples.

2005. The band sound great when they play the Riot Act songs right now, even Eddie. Plus I really like Man Of The Hour.

Wise man. Short-sightedly stopping the train at 2003 may net you essentially the same songbook but discounts the surprise airing of "Someday at Christmas" that I'm sure would pop up any day if they'd tour close enough to the holidays for it to feel appropriate.

But if it was 2012's vocal style do you still want to hear it?

I'm always up for a live debut. I'm not always thankful it happened (see "Hitchhiker"), but yeah, I think he could still do okay on that one.

since it's the band as it exists NOW playing, i'd go 2000. but if it was just a year, 1998. mmm yield.

Present day. I find it sad when a band doesn't represent all their albums in a gig. Smacks of commerciality to me.

The 2000 tour definitely had the least let's-share-the-communal-Pearl-Jam-love vibe of all their tours.

Which of course is one of the many things that made it awesome.

I think that seed was planted in 2000 with 10C allowing you to go multiple shows..... but 2003 was kind of when the communal thing hit full force.

in fairness to that tour, none of the shows I saw that year are ones people really remember or talk about either.
