I have no desire to see this and I'm usually a sucker for superhero movies. I saw Daredevil in theaters.

im sure many have said it was rushed and i agree. on a scale of 0 being catwoman and 10 being Superman 2 id give it a 4 (spiderman 3)

Spoiler: show
what i liked:

the FX were very well done. loved the things they had him imagine (springs to fire the tanker in the air etc). not sure how to have done the green energy field better. i realize in the comics he is covered in it (though we only see it as a outline of his person) but it was good enough. the animosity from jack at the bday party

mark strong nailed sinestro to a T

what i didnt like:

he and carol seemed forced and rushed. as did the relationships she and hector had with their parents.

paralax reminded me way too much of galactus from FF movie, while it worked for the big G, it didnt here. in a roundabout way it was cool how they gave the yellow power its origin with a renegade guardian, just the immensity of it all was overwhelming. and for it it kick a small band of corps asses, only to have hal beat it so easily was a let down. he becomes the greatest green lantern, hes not annoited right off the bat.

too much going on with the addition of hector hammond, with his power, his father, and his hatred (jealousy) of hal and carol wasnt needed to be forced the way it was.

not enough training or sinestro

there is no reason they couldnt stick to secret origins and build up to paralax at the end of a 2nd or for a full 3rd movie

its not as bad as people were saying, but i'm not too high on it either. its just generic superhero stuff. the space stuff was pretty cool. pretty forgettable but if you dont have anything better to do, its a decent time waster. i guess.

Spoiler: show
how stupid is the after credit scene? he just got through saying how great willpower is and how everything is back to normal, then just says fuck it and puts the fear ring on. pretty terrible scene.

yea, that was terrible.

also, his character was pretty good, but the relationship between him and Hal was not what it could have and should have been. they just crammed way too much into one movie.

if you see it without too much background knowledge, then ya, its pretty good.

from a fan perspective they strayed way too much
