Starting on 8/19 on BBC America...

From Barry Levinson (Quiz Show, Diner, Homicide, Oz) and Tom Fontana (Oz, Homicide, St. Elsewhere)

Longer trailer here...

Looks like a Good/Against the rules cop set in mid 1860's New York (basically Gangs of New York time). With Levinson and Fontana involved, I am pretty excited.

watched it last night finally and was happy to see it - it's good but a little rough - it'll be interesting to see how the next episode goes.

The first half of the episode was really really choppy and dull. It rounded into form a bit the second half and I will continue to watch.

I wasn't that excited about it. I'll watch another episode and see if its worth my time.

Was it raunchy? Or just unwatchably bad?

neither, really - it was more graphic than i like, though. violence on tv, while obligatory and expected doesn't always mean beneficial to me - it makes me kinda squeamish. :/
The episode itself was better I think than the first one - and had some good twists so that helped.

The 2nd and 3rd episodes were quite a bit better than the first. Im invested now i think.

I've been meaning to check it out again after your 3rd episode endorsement. How many are they up to now?
