I have to disagree here and rather strongly. Venom is the most developed villain in the Spiderman history that I have known. I love his character and have refused to view any movie passed the first film that did not include him. He is his opposite but yet he is not strictly evil, which adds to his complexities. Venom is one of the richest villains in the comic industry.

Venom is not a weak character by any stretch of the imagination. He has been misused and underutilized, but the character itself is not weak.

*overused in the begining

venom isnt so much a bad guy as a guy who hates parker and all he stands for. he has always tried to protect innocents

to do venom correctly, he would need to be the lone villian in the movie, thankfully he is being introduced in this one and will probably be back for the next

i think the preview looks spot on compared to web of spiderman 1

from what i can see of harry, hes not really in any major getup as to be the green goblin or the hobgoblin

It looks kind of like he just ripped out the area around the eyes from his Dad's helmet and put it on.

Maybe this is because Wilem Dafoe was totally wasted with his entire face covered by a mask.

Negative.

Install both, then uninstall iTunes.

Why would you have to do that?

itunes has this thing that disables ipod support for all other programs on your computer, it gave me hell a few years back when i didn't know about it.

i don't know enough about the comics to really care who they make the next villain, although done well Mysterio (i think that's his name, i remember him from the cartoon) might be interesting, although it'd probably just be straight corny.

Haha... where to find the right fishbowl?

I guess I've always hated the muscle-bound Eddie Brock character, and the over the top demonicly EVIIILLLL Venom. I think the way Venom is portrayed in the comics is cheesy and predictable. However, I *do* like the casting of Topher Grace as Parker's opposite, and I've always liked the IDEA of the character, the concept behind it is great. To me it came down to execution and it never grabbed me. The subtext and character bits are always were always overshadowed by Venom's monstrously evil qualities. Especially when McFarlane was drawing him (jesus, I hate McFarlane's "art"). Of course, I quit reading Spidey shortly after McFarlane stopped handling the art, so maybe the character of Brock/Venom got better eventually. Is this the case, is this what I'm missing?

So you didn't see Spidey 2 because it didn't have Venom in it?

apparently, sandman is going to be shown to have played a part in probably the most pivotal part of Spiderman (the first movie)

How's this for clarification of Peep's spoiler:

He (Sandman) was part of Uncle Ben's murder in Pt 1....
