I'm not quite sure why the show is so highly-rated. I mean, everything that happens is based on just illogic. There's no reality involved. I can't relate to a random plot that doesn't tie into the real world.
Now a really funny show is The Daily Show.

Who gives a fuck if it doesn't relate to reality? It's meant as entertainment, why does everything have to be fucking reality these days?

plus, everyone who has more than two brothers has one like gob.

I didn't really care for it much when I first saw it but a friend of mine forced me to watch the entire first season with him, and after about three shows I was hooked.

Its just a creative show all-round, the way they use the cameras to eavesdrop on the family. The camera work is fantastic, they get some great angles. The scripts/writing is really clever IMO. Other than that I think the acting is very good, everybody gets into a really distinguishable character and they are pretty one-dimensional but it wouldn't work any other way.

Its like Seinfeld for a new generation.

Yeah, so I don't feel SO guilty - but the box clearly belongs downstairs on the house DVD shelf, and not in my bedroom, neatly alphabetically placed on my personal DVD shelf.
