the new trailer was meh. No Venom or Bryce Dallas Howard
i assume that venom is going to be so badass, theres no way they are going to reveal him until the movie is actually out.
from what i have seen of the new trailer and what i remember when spidey got the symbiote costume in the comics, this sounds fairly true to the ideas behind the comic.
id say the only thing im a little iffy about is sandman being behind bens death, but im sure it will fit in nicely with the story.
the special effects of sandman look fucking awesome to say the least, and its hard to imagine Lowel as the sandman
I'm actually glad they're not showing Venom or Gwen Stacy. My only concern is that there appears to be a few too many storylines going on with this one. Symbiote/Sandman/Gwen Stacy/Harry's revenge/Peter pulling away from MJ/Eddie Brock. Of course, they all seem to be interconnected, so hopefully it'll all come off seamlessly.
I really like how Peter's revenge on Sandman for Ben's death is mirroring Harry's revenge on Peter for Norman's death. And it all goes to show you that this is still a story that is driven by these characters, not superhero action.

the symbiote is tied into the pulling away from MJ and eddie brock. from what i remember, the symbiote really focused on the anger that peter keeps hidden/doesnt normally act upon. so when he starts to let loose with his rage, MJ gets affected by it in the sense that this isnt the peter parker she fell in love with.

Man, it's been awhile since I read those. Okay, that makes me feel better. I was a little concerned that Raimi was letting this one get away from him. But then again, Raimi has never really disappointed me. Hell, I even like Darkman.

here's what i don't get (i didn't follow the story in the comics). Eddie Brock seems to be a pretty smallish dude, at least in the movie, much like parker. How come the symbiote makes Brock so huge where on Spidey he was normal-sized?

movie:
spidey always just wanted to be normal. brock, wants to be huge to take down spidey
comics:
brock is a big guy, worked out, symbiote amplified that
