I took a break from reading for a while. Tongiht I finished High Fidelity and I plan on finishing Catch-22 soon. But this is my summer reading list.

Ibsen, Four Major Plays, Volume 2,-Henrik Ibsen
All The King's Men- Robert Penn Warren
The Awakening- Kate Choplin
"Master Harold " ... and the boys- Athol Fugard
Pedro Paramo- Juan Rulfo
The House of the Spirits- Isabel Allende
Like Water for Chocolate- Laura Esquivel
Chronicle of a Death Foretold- Gabriel Garcia Marquez

All The Kings Men alone fills me with DREAD.

I've been stuck on East of Eden for like a month, I should finish it this weekend.

I don't know if I want to read more Steinbeck or switch it up a bit. I was thinking Dostoyevsky (read Notes from the Underground), Howard Zinn's A People's History, maybe something by David Pynchon. Recommendations?

That book nearly made me cry. Good choice.

I'm reading Plath's The Bell Jar. I expected it to be a lot darker, but it's pretty good otherwise.
