Brick. I kinda wanted to like this movie more than I actually liked it. It's the kind of languid movie I usually love and I like JG-L, but some of the acting was terrible and the dialogue, while clever, was also tedious. The dream-like qualities of the movie reminded me of a Lynch or Van Sant movie. Enjoyable. I'll probably watch it again, soonish.

I have not seen The Lookout yet, but Brick seems to be the only movie where I really like JG-L as an actor.

Yeah, you could've just said this.

Why do you have any desire to voice interview me?

I'm just saying dude, you don't need to write three paragraphs explaining why you don't need to see it. I understand. I didn't say you needed to see it. Nobody else did. I just said that I liked it.

No harm, no foul, friend. I was more replying to your comment about shock for shock's sake than I was your opinion of the film.

i liked it a lot. I need to see it again, because it was one of those movies where you can see a lot of things happening that needed more attention.
The Lookout was really good too, specially Jeff Daniels.

Great movies.

RM DEMANDS IT!

That's not even a little bit true.

Also, I've been wanting to watch Brick for a long time. Not sure why I've kept putting it off. Your post about the film has made me want to see it even more. So we can talk about it. Or rather, so I can talk about it with you. Of course, you should continue to talk about it as much as you want.

Jeff Daniels might just be incapable of appearing in a bad movie. The guy just makes great choices.

The Lookout is great. I also enjoyed Hesher way more than I should have.

Me too...the movie is pretty average and i liked it more than i should...maybe it was the title character?
Natalie PortmanĀ“s character was an idiot the entire movie.

Watched You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger last night. Had no idea what it was about going in. I really liked it. Probably not a top 10 Woody Allen film, but surprising, enjoyable, and very well acted.

Yeah Hesher was a cool character, but the kid was horrible and took up too much screen time.

I've seen like 20 Woody Allen movies, and Hannah and Her Sisters seems to be the one that always stands out. I don't know why. It's not even my favorite. Or is it?

It's Woody Allen's best work. Most critics agree.

Animal Kingdom.
Can't help feeling a little dissapointed. Reminds me a little of Snowtown but less gruesome and less interesting.
