I read something earlier today that said he has been talking in the high pitched voice since March.
Of course it will be high pitched. It's DDL.
Yeah. As difficult as it'd be for the American public to bare, its probably a lock they'll disregard the deep gruff voice he's always been given in past portrayals. That's gonna be weird just hearing it for the first time and it'll probably completely change everyone's perception of Lincoln from then on after everyone sees it.

I have a History Channel dvd about Lincoln and the whole three hour documentary has a high pitched voice over. So I'm used to it. But yeah you have your average American thinking of that deep voice.

That's interesting that Smithsonian article basically said Sam Waterson had it down all right, but everytime I hear "high and nasally" or "squeaky" it makes him sound like he never hit puberty or something. I can't imagine DDL's portrayal will be anything awful or annoying that people make fun of or undermines Lincoln's legacy.

Sir, when George C. Scott portrays you on film it doesn't matter WHAT you were or were not. Your whole life is in retrospect nothing more than an opportunity for people to witness the awesome that was George C. Scott.
