I still rate this as one of the better shows on tv right now. But, I agree that the past few episodes have really only inched forwards in the story. The show came out of the gates really hot with the first 4 or so episodes and has cooled off a bit. Still a good show, but not as compelling as the earlier episodes.

Spoiler: show
Semi spoiler critique: some storylines disappeared too quickly. The high school kids? Stan's shady past? You wouldn't even know those were part of the storyline at this point. And, the writing for Bennett has gotten a little silly. Why would a guy who's the number one suspect use a cell phone with some shady conversation? Wouldn't he believe he's being tapped/watched at all times. Unless its a disposable one. They just make him seem like a real idiot.

It's slow... bordering on too slow. But I'm still watching.

This show isn't perfect, but it's good enough to dedicate an hour of my Sunday night to it.

I wish they would have given that a 2nd season. They could have tinkered with a few things and made it even better.

I think the mom killed her daughter. She's trying to act all sad and depressed that her daughter's dead but I know what's up.

Anyone know if this going to be an actual series or just a mini-series, like the Danish version? They would have to come up with a completely different story if they started making this into seasons. I'm assuming it would get picked up.

So that threw everyone off as to who killed the girl. So where was she from 10:30 until 11:45?

I think we all knew Bennett was innocent. He was identified too early in the season, and was not nearly menacing enough.

I'm thinking someone connected to the campaign is the killer, just not sure who.

I feel like the last few episodes are going to really pick up the pace.

The PC police would have gone apeshit if he had been the villain. I still wonder about Linden since there have been hints of "that other girl", some other case in the past that was similar.

I really think someone in the family had something to do with it. The one question I can't get out of my head which makes me think the mother was involved is why would you not contact your daughter for 3 days if you knew she wasn't coming home. Now you can say she knew she was suppose to be at her friends house, but still; not even a phone call?

My money's on the dad's friend/partner. Nothing to back that up, of course, but they both had mob ties, and there's a lot of dirt wrapped up in all of that, and the partner could be working for some organization that the dad pissed off long ago. Or something like that.

I don't know. All I know is that I wish I liked this show more than I do. I don't dislike it, but I wish it had more character heft. There's just not enough to sink your teeth into, ala Mad Men or Breaking Bad. And it's all very plot driven and a red herring tour. But of course I watch it every week because I just gotta know what happens next.

What's the deal with the dead, partially buried and decomposing pig at the start of the pilot?
