After seeing all the controversy with Lost and now seeing this thread just makes me think how much worse Harry Potter was. Lost racked up a whole bunch of unanswered questions through six seasons Harry Potter left us with what should have been a lot of action as he searched for the horcruxes going into the last.

Instead we got the Lost weekend at the other Other's temple, and Harry's first camping trip.

I really would have liked to see more of Hogwarts in the last book. Now that was a backdrop.

More of Hogwarts in DH? But there's not really much reason to, I don't think. You don't really need to see too much about what's going on there because HR&H finally make their way back there in the last few chapters.

There's a fan who went thru the whole newest trailer and using the annotations he explains where each clip in it likely comes in in terms of the overall story. Some are pretty obvious, others are educated guesses.

Finished book 1, and now 16 pages into "...And the Chamber of Secrets".

Rewatched the 1st movie after I finished the book, and the movie left all sorts of stuff out. I'm guessing the bigger and more detailed the books get, the more and more is left out of the films.

I don't know why they changed certain things either...One of the biggest was that Harry and Hermonie got caught giving Hagrid's dragon to Charlie's friends. They then get busted, lose a shit ton of points, and the whole school hates Harry (except for Slytherin - since he got them in 1st place b/c of his actions). Then the punishment in the woods is Draco, Harry, Hermonie, and Neville, but in the movie, Ron has replaced Neville. This and the fight / adventure at the end were changed for the movie. I've heard people say the movies follow the books very closely, but this was a pretty big deal to completely change.

Oh, and another thing I didn't like about the movie, Harry is at Hogwarts in like the first 10 minutes. The book took about 40 pages (give or take).

Knowing that the first movie changed some things around, and left a bunch out, makes me want to read all of the books now, instead of just the first 2 or 3. I have a long plane trip on Wednesday, so hoping to have a good chunk of "Chamber" done, and on to "Azkaban" next.

315 pages into Goblet, and just ordered Phoenix...Hopefully I can be about 1/2 done with Deathly by the time the first part of the movie comes out.

good thing you're saving valuable reading time by not typing out the titles

Let me guess, you were planning on having the intercourse that night, but now you have to postpone it?

Are you kidding? If all goes well, I'll be banging literally as it debuts, watch it over the crack of her ass.

Im really trying to figure the ergonomics of this. If you're watching it over the crack of her ass, that means her ass would have to be in front of you, so im presuming doggy style? But then your head is well above the "crack of her ass", so i fail to see how that would come into play. Please explain the ergonomics of intercourse to me, samwise.

Who cares if the girl is a bit deformed as long as the path is tight.

The 7 Potters scene looks like potential comedy gold

I finally started 'The Deathly Hallows' :) It's been a fun journey so far, plowing through all of the books, then re-watching the movies (I saw the 6 movies first, then read Book 1, re-watched move 1, and so on). I'm only on page 23, but I think I can get half of it done by the time the movie comes out. It's gonna be a pain to wait for Part 2...I don't know how the long time fans have done it all this time.

This was great. I'd love to see a movie dedicated solely to the backstory of the HP universe in that Three Brothers story-style animation.
