Im debating making Brave the first theater movie for my 4 year old. If not Brave, then Finding Nemo 3D
pssh.
It may have not been the theater, but my dad popped in Jaws when I was 4.
Okay, I fail to see what that has to do with anything if it's not the theater. You don't have kids, do you IHRM?
God no. But I'm referring to movies in general. When I was four, I was shown Jaws, Star Wars, Back to the Future Goonies etc. It helps that I have two older brothers, but I can't wait till I get kids. I'm going to start them off right. I would have to start early so they're attention span isn't thrown off by modern television and animation.
Ninja Turtles was my first movie theater experience I believe.

So your comment had nothing to do with the discussion at hand, you just wanted to brag about seeing Jaws at 4?
The issue isn't the content of the movie, because at home you have a lot of control. Pause, fast forward, talking loudly over objectionable parts, etc.
The issue is.. what movie can I see that is going to engage her enough to be still for an hour and a half, that will have a lot of other kids there, and be marginally watchable for me. Nemo is the absolute safest bet for this, because it's a film she already loves. Brave is a bit riskier, given that it is a new character for her. The setting looks enough like How To Train Your Dragon or Tangled that it might be okay.

Yes, that's right, I wanted to brag about seeing Jaws at four. But so what?
