"Fourth and most important, I can't remember a single show damaging a network's brand this severely, to the point that AMC either needs to apologize, offer the entire Breaking Bad series on DVD for 85 percent off, or even publicly distance itself from the show the same way a sports team distances itself from a star player who does something horrible. That's how bad this was. AMC had won our trust over the past few years; because of that trust, we endured The Killing because we trusted AMC enough that we assumed they wouldn't screw us. It's unfathomable that none of the people running such a seemingly intelligent network said, "We better leak to Tim Goodman or Alan Sepinwall that they're not wrapping things up in one season, we don't want people to be pissed off." Nope. The ratings mattered more than the viewers.
And yeah, that's happened before in television … but not like this. The Killing turned out to be aptly named: AMC just killed any "most creative network" momentum it had. People will not forget what happened. I know I won't. And in case you were wondering, hell will freeze over before I watch Season 2."
Talk about over-dramatic. It's a TV Show...get over it. No wonder so many people can't stand this guy anymore.
I've seen a lot worse criticism than that. I think an AOL critic called it the worst season finale of all time.
He must have missed the Lost finale.

I didn't mind the LOST finale. It had a lot of really great moments in it.

Mind you I still haven't watched any of this show, but see awhile back when I heard it got a 2nd season, I guess I just took for granted that they wouldn't solve the murder at the end of season 1, they'd draw that out more. But then I was reading somewhere the other day how they were apparently indeed going to tell you who the killer was. Did they? I mean you don't have to tell me who exactly it was, I'm just wondering if they gave you the answer in the finale.

This was probably the best show I have ever seen in my entire life. The ending was perfect and if it was any different it would be like kicking God in the balls.
I'm guessing it's on purpose but this is a very very stupid post.
No. The Killing was the best thing to ever happen to my life. I cannot wait for season 2 so I can watch the entire season only to be bitchslapped in the last 5 minutes of the season. I love it.

Are you dumb? Or experimenting with what you think is humor?

It's not dumb just to have an opinion. It's all subjective and the Killing has made my life nearly complete.

Me too. I also like Holders character. Becoming more intriguing. Nice little struggle he will be battling with.
I am not sure I like the concept of the 'conspiracy' (there's always one in cop shows, isn't there?) going beyond him. I understand the episode was only suppose to be two weeks after the murder, but it's been a year since the show premiered, and I feel like I'll lose interest if the Rosie part isn't wrapped up soon.
