i gotta say, holy shit. these guys know how to do finales. mira, ashur, oenameus, glaber, ilythia, lucretia, and the baby all in one episode, and all spectacularly.
i can't say i'm excited about the next season though. i know capua will be left behind, and i'll miss the lutus scenes. it also occurs to me that since spartacus and navea are played by different actors now, crixus is the only remaining character still portrayed by the same actor. plus, i feel like the most intriguing scenes usually involved the women, and now they're all gone. if the next series is just going to be episode after episode of fighting in the similarly wooded areas, it's going to grow dull quickly. hopefully they jump ahead to spartacus leading an army and then wrap up the entire series at the end of next season.
