Insurrection and Nemeis would have been passable as 2-part episodes during TNG's original TV run. As movies, they're a joke.

I agree with Insurrection. Nemesis as a 2 parter probably would have been one of the best episodes the've ever done, but still lacking as a great film.

I heard they sucked because Steward and Spiner's influence wanted they to rewrite the script until they had a safe movie eveyone would like.
I think Picard was supposed to deactivate mr data in insurrection or something to that extent....anyway they made a crappy so so film with terrible humour that is so forced

I'm a pretty big Star Trek nerd.

I love The Original Series. I bought them all on DVD. I also really like The Next Generation.

I have seen some of the movies, but not all. I should get on that.

I don't watch any of the other shows.

I've even been to a Star Trek convention and have convinced Schlitz to dress up with me for Halloween.

My Star Trek experience started with The Next Generation around 1988/89 . It was on Polish tv on Fridays. I loved it.

Then, in 1990 I went to high school and started learning English. It also coincided with the big changes for my country as the communist era ended. With communism being gone, we gained access to many new things - such as cable TV.

Sky ONE was airing Star Trek:NG and I finally had a chance to watch it in the original version. I was actually learning/improving my English by watching this show. I think my understadning of spoken English improved a lot back then thanks to Star Trek:NG.

Star Trek:NG will be the one I will always feel the most sentimental about. But I also enjoyed Deep Space Nine immensly.

Recently I started watching the latest Star Enterprise series. At first I didn't like it a lot, but after watching a few episodes I thought it wasn't that bad. I like the Xindi quest.... and, of course, T'pal is a major magnet.

I watched the first few episodes when it came out and thought it SUCKED really bad. Then a couple months ago I tuned in and watched a couple more episodes and found that the show improved quite a bit, and actually isnt all that bad.

It was actually the same with me. I failed to mention that I watched some of the first episodes and then after a few months some more... Probably a second season or something - more or less when the trouble with the Xindi starts.

They started airing it on the Polish AXN channel, and that was when I watched some of the first episodes. Now I'm watching it on SAT1 in German... Maybe ST is just better in German? :)

Oh, thank god. I couldnt find the right word, so the closest I got was "radiate", which sounds pretty funny, actually.

Such sites give the Star Trek fans a bad name ;)

I mean, come on! Men can be just friends, it's a lot harder with a man and a woman!

Caught the series finale of Deep Space Nine on Spike this morning before I watched the nationals and mets, forgot how complicated the show got toward the end. It was enjoyable, but ended the series on a bittersweet note with Sisko's 'death' and the end of the high casuality war.
In contrast I found TNG's finale to be a happier ending. I suppose this reflects the overall tones of both shows. It was better than I expected.

Never bothered to catch the end of VGR. It got to bad to continue watching.

Methinks Shatner needs to hit the gym.

When 81 years old you reach, look as good you will not.

Looks from that picture like that guy from DS9 is still whacked out crazy or filled to the brim with drugs or whatever. That's good to know.

I can withstand a lot of smack talk but if you put down Avery Brroks again I'm gonna lose my shit. The man was Capt Sisko and Hawk for gods sake. Respect.
