Yes, that time of year is here again, time for a little competition that could be rewarding!
The concept is simple. Contestants will put into the pool a copy of one of their PJ shows, and then select from the list of nominees who will win each Oscar. Whoever gets the most points will win the pool!
Rules:
--The scoring system is as follows:
· Best Picture is worth 5 points;
· Best Director is worth 4 points;
· The four acting categories are worth 3 points each;
· Original and Adapted Screenplay are worth 2 points each;
· All the rest are worth 1 point.
--The tiebreakers will consist of when there is a difference in whoever guessed right for a hierarchy of categories. The hierarchy is as follows:
1) Most correct guesses in all categories worth more than one point
2) Most correct guesses in the four acting categories
3) Most correct guesses in the two screenplay categories
4) Best Picture
5) Best Director
6) a random deciding factor agreed upon by the remaining tied contestants.
--E-mail me your picks AND what you will contribute to the pool at greenhabits@yahoo.com. PLEASE have the subject read "RM Oscar Pool" so I know what the e-mail is. Once I have read your e-mail, I will add you to the header post as a contestant.
--You MUST submit your picks before 11:59 PM Eastern time on Saturday, February 26 (i.e. the day before the Oscars are awarded).
--If you do not have any shows to submit, you may instead submit two blank CD-Rs (this could be a great way for your collection to start!). However, if you do have shows, spread the jam!
--In the interest of fairness, I will make my picks public.
--The winner will receive an e-mail containing all the e-mails of the other contestants, and I will trust all of you to do business with the winner after the contest is over.

I didn't know RM had been around that long, let alone the internet

Is your e-mail actually greenhabits, or is it greenhabit? Just making sure.
It's plural, with the S.
I'm still surprised that someone took the other one.

What don't you win around these parts?
Apart from postin' I mean.

You know my greatest regret on RM is ever overtaking you.
