So is this worth renting? I was turned off by the bad reviews.

Of course.

It isn't as good as the first two but I didn't find it nearly as bad as many make it out to be.

I liked the first two a lot (unlike a lot of people around here), but I thought this one was really awful.

And aggravating. They ruined Venom and made Sandman uninteresting. But if you've seen the first two, you should see it anyway.

The fact that I've already seen the first two and want to see how the story ends is the only reason I'll be seeing this. Won't be paying for it, though.

i still cant believe what an absolute shitfest this was. the whole movie was garbage. the last half hour was probably thrown together by a room full of 8 yr olds.

I unfortunately had to watch this shitfest again the other night, since my parents brought it over. It really pisses me off. It's almost like everyone involved in this project is making fun of spider-man with this movie.
My stepdad almost puked when spidey posed in front of the flag at the end. And afterwards my mom didn't even know what to say. She just said "I can't believe they made this movie" That's pretty bad if my mom says that.
I mean, to put this in perspective, my mom owns and enjoys both Big Momma's House films.
