The latest TV Guide has lots of details and spoilers on new episodes of "Alias" and "Lost", and word on potential renewals for the next season of TV starting in September:

Alias
Irina Derevko, the dangerous mother of Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) is back. Lena Olin, who played the role throughout the show's second season, is confirmed to be returning for the 90-minute fourth season final on May 25th.

Lost
Two episodes begin next week. In the first, Locke begins to suffer physical problems as he and Boone try to find a way into that mysterious hatch. Meanwhile, Jack is reluctant to help when Sawyer starts to experience excruciating headaches. The following week, Claire goes into labor and Locke suddenly vanishes without a trace.

Renewals
Some shows have already been pretty much guaranteed to get another season. Amongst the titles - "24", "The O.C.", "Will & Grace", "House", "Joey" and "The Wire". Both "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" will be back, and "Desperate" will have extra episodes next season to stop 'repeat lag' ("Lost" may as well). "Carnivale" and "Charmed" are still up in the air.
