This looks like it could be really good or really bad.
De Niro, Pfeiffer, Claire Danes; based on the novel by Neil Gaiman.
Not to mention Peter O'Toole and the great Ricky Gervais.
But you're right, could go either way. I love pretty much everything Gaimen's ever written, so this one looks to fall squarely on the shoulders of the director. And I'll be honest, the direction doesn't look to be anything special. Most of the shots look fairly uninspired, and reminds me of the boring fashion in which Andrew Adamson directed The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
