So, Brosnan doesn't want to be 007 anymore. I'm sure there are rumors abound as to who will replace him, though I haven't done any poking around. My first instinct was Ewan McGregor. I think he's got that debonair quality as well as the action skills. Who would you like to see as the new Bond?

For some reason, I just don't think he'd work. He's too skinny and he always seems short on screen, though I don't know his actual height.

Well, IMDB tells me that Law is 6', while McGregor is 5'10-1/2". So I guess I was wrong about that. :x

I don't know who I want to be Bond. I haven't really thought about it too much. I thought the Pierce was going to do one more?

Also, I can't really get into the older Bond films, I've only seen the Pierce films.

Damon Albarn!

I think Colin Farrel should be the right choice!

Colin Farrel's Irish, has a unibrow, and is just a bit too unkempt to be James Bond, IMO. He also has a crooked eye or something.

tons of rumors about the next bond, some with clive owen and even with the chump from nip/tuck. i'd always thought eric bana or hugh jackman (unlikely since he has the x-men and possibly the shitty van helsing franchises on his shoulders) would be good enough to revive the bond movies.

If Colin took over the role, it may finally time to stop watching this series.

I think the franchise is doing well considering how long Bond has been around. Pierce Brosnan and Goldeneye were definitely a revitalization for the series. I think that going with a less-recognizable name at this point might be a bad move though. Hugh Jackman could be a great Bond now that you mention it. I'm not all that familiar with the other names though.

Hell no to Jackman, Law, Farrell and McGregor.

There isn't really anyone as right for the role as Brosnan was, so I'd say go with an unknown or maybe Clive Owen.

Actually, Pierce Brosnan's contract was up after 4 films, but he was ready to do a 5th Bond film. The producers changed their minds and told him that they wanted to go in a different direction. So it wasn't his decision.
