Theres some literary magazine thing being published at my school,a dn they're asking for submissions. Im thinking of doing an abstract prose piece, but I dont like people reading my work because it makes me think about what they want to read and images and stereotypes and whatnot. But I think I have a good idea and Im gonna work on it. I have to give it to my friend who is running this by Thursday. So...I'll let you know how it goes.

Anyone have anything published, even if on a small scale? What were peoples reactions to reading your work, and whatnot?

If you want advice or thoughts or an opinion that may be able to help in some way or another, feel free to contact me at Void_0001@hotmail.com or pm me or if you'd like, we could discuss your work in this thread...?

I admire your willingness to try this... I try random abstract writing all the time and am extremely interested in your thoughts.

I'd like thoughts on my creativity too.

In the form of a letter to a person called Yellow, who is leaving yellow for Reid, and yellow represents published writing and Reid private writing, but the writer expresses a knowledge that he will leave Reid and return to yellow for all the pretty people. It will be implied that yellow is a girl and Reid a boy, symbolic and also helping in that no one will think its an actual love letter.

I don't know, MS: Abstract writing is usually more fun for the writer than it is for the reader. I guess it depends on your audience and your vision...

It wont be completely abstract, as you can tell by my discription. Just kind of....out there, but theres a real meaning in it.
