I asked if I should see it and I went out and rented it. This movie is now in my top 5 favorites. I dont really like movies so my top 5 is pretty shitty but this movie hit me. Sandler is the shit.

I have never seen any of those movies you said Jim. Adam Sandler is my favorite actor and its not just because he's funny. Ive been watching comercials for Spanglish and I think I will see this movie too. I want to see more sides of Adam Sandler.

I kept seing people getting out of the theater because they were hating the movie. I found it one of the most funny movies that I saw in a while and laughed out loud several times.

Paul Thomas Anderson can do no wrong in my book. Though this is my least favorite of his films, I still liked it. I read somewhere the soundtrack coincides with Adam Sandler's character emotions. Very cool.

I liked this movie much more than Magnolia, whose bright spot was Tom Cruise. Adam Sandler certainly broke character. However, this movie just convinced me even more that Paul Thomas Anderson has been doing a lot more drugs since Boogie Nights.
God bless,
Jared

The movie itself is good, but I was most impressed with Adam Sandler. He communicated the feeling of repressed anger and frustration so well that I found it almost uncomfortable. I have this weird thing where I try to place myself in the characters shoes (probably has something to do with acting all the time), and the rage that he expressed came across so well that I felt like punching a brick wall until my hands were bloody. A very surprising acting job, and a very impressive one as well.

I would say that if you like movies such as Eternal Sunshine, Lost in Translation, and Garden State you will like this one.
I'd have to disagree.... the other titles you mentioned were all good films, but Punch Drunk Love just didn't do it for me. I've only seen it once, so it might be a movie that would grow on me a bit the second time around, like Lost in Translation, but it's not a movie I'd go out of the way to see again!

I can relate. After I watched the movie I felt like beating the fuck out of the next person who gave me shit. Luckly no one gave me any shit.
I wasnt suppried about Sandlers acting. I knew he could do it.
