I liked it because it wasn't formulatic and didn't have so much junior high potty humor like a lot of other comedies nowadays. It wasn't groundbreaking but it was pretty good and has a ton of one liners. My favorite would have to be "Tina, come get your ham!", partially because one of my good friends is named Tina.

What makes the movie endearing to so many people is that it is highly quotable.
Because the movie is quotable, it jumps up a few notches...
bingo
watching the film, i didn't particularly enjoy (or dislike) it until the dance scene, which is pretty funny. after the film ended, i shut it off and was kind of "well, ok?"
then two days later my girlfriend and i started asking each other if we were having a killer time.

This movie fucking sucked.
The only redeeming quality was that had some funny quotes. But I get pretty damn sick of everyone doing their imitation all the time. Like at work: "hey can you pick that up?" "God, Maybe I will!" *runs off* overall I have no desire to subject myself to that level of boredom again.

Unbelievable movie. Didn't think it was that funny the first time I seen it. Then I watched it again and it was 100 times more funny. I don't know why.
"They kept attacking my cousins, what the heck would YOU do in a situation like that?!"
Only funny because of the quotes? OBVIOUSLY... that's what makes a comedy a better comedy.
