I'm really gald that they didnt release Sandlot 2 in the theatres, it would have really sullied the first one. As for the first one it is a definte classic. Smalls' fishing hat is awesomely huge.

This is one of the greatest sports movies ever. It's a classic.

When I saw the commercials for the sequel, I groaned, but I was also happy that they didn't put it out in theaters. The worst thing in the world you can do in a sequel is make the same movie with a different cast. And this is a memorable group of characters - Benny, Ham, Yeah-Yeah, Smalls, Timmy and Tommy, Squints, Kenny, and Bertram.

I love the part where Benny has the dream with Babe Ruth in it.

"Heros get remembered, but legends never die. Follow your heart, kid, and you'll never go wrong."

James Earl Jones is also great, the owner of "The Beast." I love the whole scene where Benny and Smalls are in his baseball room and he gives them the 1927 Yankees baseball.

There's also that scene with the chewing tobacco and they go on the Trabant. :lol:

It's such a great feel-good film, with some really funny scenes and characters.
