This came up in the 'Stand by Me' thread and it seemed to set off a good discussion of all the great comedies of the '80's, so it seemed like a good thread for discussion. I'll start a list of them, and probably will miss quite a few so feel free to add your favorites. Here we go!!

John Hughes movies:
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
Ferris Buller's Day Off
Vacation
Weird Science
Planes, Trains and Automobiles

and others:
Airplane
Airplane II
Top Secret
Real Genius
Caddyshack
Fletch
Fletch Lives
Spies Like Us
The Three Amigos
All of Me
Splash
Ghostbusters
Beverly Hills Cop
Trading Places
Coming to America
The Blues Brothers
Back to the Future
The Secret of My Success
Seems like Old Times
and on and on........

And here's a random quote:
"No more yanky my wanky, The Donger need food!!"

They weren't that great, but going by your age on the left, it would seem you weren't even alive then...... :?

i've got to add
stripes
the golden child
the burbs.

amd though everyone shits on it, caddyshack 2 is funnier than most of today's comedies.

i wish my user name was mrs. estherhouse.

If you can't recognize that The Breakfast Club, This Is Spinal Tap, etc. are some of the greatest movies ever than there is no hope for you.

Speaking of great '80's movies, great avatar. I love that movie, not really a comedy though.
