i got the myFi for XM and i'm just learning how the fucker works. for some reason, when i record something i don't have any audio for the playback. it saves everything i recorded, but there is no sound :|

also- what station and time is the Phil Hendry Show on?

i would like it if someone would answer these questions

I grew up on a farm where we had a Ham Radio.

i went to a "festival" once called "The HAM Fest 2001." i went there because i love ham. i showed up hungry as hell for ham and all i found were people selling antennas, used computers, knives, and radio dials. that was one of the worst days of my life :(

Send me some details about this weekend, pal.

i was gonna get one but got an mp3 cd player instead..i have like 50 data discs in my jeep which amounts to more music than you can imagine

my opinion of the satellite radios -

xm - my buddy has it..its ok but i can never find a station i can play for a long time..i alsays encounter shit..theres all different stations and im going throught them like a madman..i couldnt imagine listenin to it while drivin, i couldnt pay attention to the road..my bro likes it for the sports talk shows..my buddy likes it for comedy..its pretty decent for rap..they have a new station, old school, etc

sirius - the alternative rock on s kills xms..from what ive heard so far anyway..i was at a party and a friend had it on..it was great..in two bars i went to they play sirius alt rock and 95% its real good..ive never heard teh rap stations but im sure thyre good..plus you have stern..

I initially bought the Sirius unit and listened for amount 2 months before cutting it off, then tried the XM. To me, XM has a better variety of music, the Bob Dylan show is absolutely fantastic and I love O & A and Ron and Fez.
Also, living in the mountains, Sirius cut in and out too much, but XM has never cut out.

I love my Sirius. The Howard channels are great. the music is awesome and I spend a lot of time listening to the NFL channel. It's a pretty complete system, you can't go wrong. If you can afford a Stilletto, that's one awesome machine. It's basically an Ipod/Satellite radio player

But is it a portable tuner/receiver? Or do you need to dock it to get live programming?

It's a portable tuner/receiver. It also has wi-fi so if you can't get a satellite signal, you can listen to the internet stream.

Sirius and XM are both bleeding money. I would imagine they'll end up merging at some point.
