I saw the commercial last night on TV...I haven't played my PS2 in a few months, but after seeing the previews for this game, I might be inclined to buy it...does anyone have it? If so, how is it?

there's a bunch of new PS2 and Xbox vietnam games. To tell you the truth, most of them aren't that great.
here are the three that have been released so far:
Viet Cong: Purple Haze- i haven't heard many good reactions of this game from the customers at my store, haven't played it and don't feel like playing it.
Shellshock Nam' 67- I played this game, third person shooter, horrible gameplay, nothing too interesting, a lot of blowing up of innocent civilians if you're into that, but it's not for me, i'd rather watch Gigli
Conflict: Vietnam- Same game series as the Conflict: Desert storm games, haven't played this one but i'm assuming it's not too different fromt he desert storm games.
there is yet one more game coming out that takes place in Vietnam, that is Men of Valor, i don't know much about it, a few screen shots make it look really good, but i dunno....i'm definitely spending my shooting money on Halo 2 and Call of Duty: Finest Hour

To really be into a game you need to not be against the storyline, what you're doing, and a Vietnam game because of that wouldn't do it for me.

I totally agree. After reading about some of the Atrocities in Vietnam and things that happened in America during that time the last thing I want to do is play a game about it.
