Thoughts:
A lot better than last year. Not as scary as Russell T. Davies can be (note, Midnight) but you're never going to get one like that at Xmas.
Davies seems to be enjoying himself teasing us throughout about the "next" doctor, although having David Morrisey as the next one would certainly have fucked up Steven Moffat's plans. It's whetted my appetite for #10's regeneration. "I hope it's not falling off a brick" - damn fucking right! It had better be spectacular!
Cybershades were rubbish.
Suitable villain, played with real relish. What a tramp!
What is it with annoying squawkers as companions? Yeesh. "DockTAR!"
Not the next one: "The Doctor will return in The Planet of the Dead" *salivates*
Either way, this was a lot better than watching Kylie Minogue push a twat-headed robo-thing off a cliff in a forklift truck.

Way better than last year, although some parts still made me cringe. Also, lacked the obligatory gay and/or interracial couple that we've come to know and love from RTD's stories.
Rumor has it that the Nimon will be returning in the next special.
I, too, am curious how Ten will die. Of course, I'd still like to know how Eight died. They've gone quite the range over years...
One: Old age Two: Forced by the Time Lords Three: Radiation poisoning Four: Fell off a radio telescope Five: Spectrox toxæmia Six: Pink slip from the BBC...I mean blunt trauma to the head Seven: Circulatory system damage from exploratory surgery Eight: ??? Nine: Cellular degeneration Ten: ???
