hmm, they are about as different as can be, and since i'm not actually on a first name basis with either of them i won't say which i prefer.

I love them both, but PT kicks the Wes ass. When Wes directs a movie that actually expands on his formula, then I will start considering him. But really, as much as I love his movies, he needs to expand his horizons beyond the clever dark comedy starring a Wilson or a Murray. I love the formula, but I would hope he can do something else in the future.

See, I have no problem that he sticks to a formula of movie making that he's so successful with. I figure if he can keep producing such great films, there's no need for him to try to "expand artistically". I just don't see the need for people to try and prove themselves this way. It's like Tim Burton is great at making dark, twisted, weird films. I don't need him to attempt a romantic comedy to entrench his genius.
