Great film, just released on Criterion in the last year I think. The same director did The Squid and the Whale. Doesn't really have a plot, but the acting is good and the humor is based on a lot of "stupid liberal arts references." Here's the plot description:

Plot Summary for
Kicking and Screaming (1995)
After college graduation, Grover's girlfriend Jane tells him she's moving to Prague to study writing. Grover declines to accompany her, deciding instead to move in with several friends, all of whom can't quite work up the inertia to escape their university's pull. Nobody wants to make any big decisions that would radically alter his life, yet none of them wants to end up like Chet, the professional student who tends bar and is in his tenth year of university studies.

Hmmm, I thought this was about the Will Ferrell Kicking and Screaming, but after reading the first two words of this post I knew I was wrong.

Criterion already released Elf and Anchorman, so why not?

In regards to this film, I thought it was pretty good. A little meandering and Wes Andersonish (like Squid), but pretty good for this type of movie.

The Criterion Collection, duh! jk... they release what they consider to be important films with high quality, (usually) extra feature heavy DVDs. I love them.. I have about a quarter of the Collection.

I thought this movie was terrible. I'm the absolute ideal age-group/demographic this movie was made for. Just graduated college, trying to figure out what to do, bullshitting with the same friends who are going through the same shit.

If I wanna hear a bunch of yuppies whine for two hours, I got free time. I'll go down to Whole Foods and piss on the organic lox.

I don't know if I should have said "great film" but it was good enough for me to post about

I was recommended it by a friend. Not really, it was Bill Simmons. I guess I should've known, he seems to have had the similar posh upbrining.

But Ari's wife...
